OK, so a white Halloween isn't really what I dreamed of, but we sure are excited about our first snow! I have only seen snow falling twice in my life, so it was exciting and oh so beautiful! The kids couldn't get enough after school and thanks to our awesome neighbors, they had the boots and gloves to enjoy it for more than just a few minutes. Last time the boys saw snow (3 1/2 years ago) we drove 2 hours so they could play for 15 minutes til they got too cold. Then they watched me and Byron build a snowman from the car while snacking on sour gummy worms. And our version of proper footwear then was a grocery bag tied around tennis shoes! I know this is just the beginning of a lot of cold white stuff falling from the sky, but for now we are enjoying it.
We had a Fall Festival at the church and a costume parade at the school that the kids got to dress up for. Paige dressed as Fancy Nancy and the boys picked some random stuff out of the costume box. For the school parade they were supposed to dress up like someone from a book, so Benson was an animal explorer since all the books he ever checks out at the library are non fiction animal books. They all had a lot of fun! Happy Halloween!!
Paige loved getting all dolled up! I even put some make up on her and she looked so pretty!
Clark striking a pose as a Power Ranger. Classic.
Benson getting ready for the school parade
Little Bay flashing a smile for the paraders
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
