Best Find

This could be my best classified find yet! $70 and still new in the box and totally worth the hour drive to pick it up! Maybe it is a little ghetto that it is right in our front room, but it is getting alot of use and it just might have to stay there all summer!! Happy Birthday to my favorite boys!!!

Splashin at Solitude

On the last day of school our neighbors invited us up to their condo at Solitude to go swimming. It was crazy to be swimming and still be surrounded by snow, but it was warm and so much fun! We have the best neighbors ever!!

Elder Ellsworth

Tanner left for his mission on June 1st! He will be serving in Nagoya Japan. Part of his mission is where I stayed for my high school student exchange. I am so excited for him!

Paige's Tangled Party

Well, this year was the year for birthday parties! We haven't done parties for a while, so this year we decided to let all the kids have a friend party. It was crazy and I'm glad it's over but it was alot of fun too! When I saw these ideas for a Tangled party I knew it was what I wanted to do! Luckily Paige was all for it too! I copied all these ideas from another blog so I can't take any credit, but it turned out really cute and cheap too!
The neighborhood boys were hanging around during the party so we had a "smolder" contest and the girls cheered for who they thought had the best smolder. So funny! Especially hearing the little girl down the street who has a crush on Clark scream when it was time to vote for him!

AZ in October

I found some pictures I never posted from October when the kids and I went to AZ. Byron's parents didn't know we were coming so the kids dressed up and showed up at their doorstep to suprise them!

We had lots of fun with our cousins!! And Uncle Ryley too!!

After Sunday dinner my mom lets their dog Molly lick the plate. Bailey helped her out while we were there! Sad thing is, none of us stopped her, just ran for our cameras to capture the moment!!

Mooshy Face

Pardon the messy hair....I love this face!!

Deranged

We have a pond near our house so there are geese and ducks flying by all the time. Recently there is a goose that has been terrorizing the neighborhood. Seriously, it charges young children on bikes and will not even back off of moving vehicles. This goose has some real issues. So one restless Sunday afternoon we saw it across the street and Byron went out and decided to befriend this goose. All it took was a few pieces of bread and the goose was an instant friend. As the goose became more comfortable he even ate right out of Byron's hand. We got it some water to wash down the snack and when he was full he walked back across the street. Funny thing is then a few hours later we hear honking at our front door. He was back for more! Moral of the story: If you treat a grumpy goose/person kindly, sometimes they aren't so bad after all.

Movin on up

Benson has finished his first year of Cub Scouts and has worked hard to earn his Wolf. He has also earned 5 belt loops and a gold and silver arrow. He loves scouts! Now we will start working on the Bear. Way to go Benson!!

RSL Game

The boys play soccer and got free tickets to a Real Salt Lake (Major League Soccer) game. It was parks and rec night so all the kids got to go out on the field before the game. The boys were in heaven! Standing on the same field as Kyle Beckerman at the same time-they felt like a million bucks! The game was pretty fun too. It was a first for all of us, but fun to experience the MLS crowd. The stadium is awesome too! I'm not up on soccer rules and stuff, but the crowd was into it and we had a great time. It was crazy though because fans would throw streamers onto the field and they just stayed there during the game. One of the players got tangled up in it and it wouldn't come off his shoe. Then there was the rowdy section across the field from us. They brought a bunch of big drums and played them the ENTIRE game. Then every few minutes they would let off smoke bombs and at one point they pulled out a ginormous RSL flag that covered over the entire section. Gotta give em props for all that enthusiasm! Especially considering that no one scored the entire game. Yes, the game ended in a tie, 0-0. I was so disappointed, but I guess thats the way it goes with soccer. Maybe we'll go to another game so we can actually see a goal scored!
