Stars on Ice

"Seeing Stars on Ice" is more like it!
*****OK...this is Byron....I purposly dove on the ice here....*****

Tonight we met up with some friends from school for some fun on the ice. Byron was inspired by the Olympians we have been watching all week.

*****Me again....You cant see it but i was like 2 feet off the ice!!!!*****

He couldn't decide between figure skating or speed skating, but they both wear pretty tight pants, so I think we'll stick with recreational ice skating for now.
These are Byron's ping pong competitiors. I mean study group friends. :) He assures me that spending 14+ hours a day with these guys is greatly increasing his intelligence. Hmmmm.
The kids got in on the action too!
Skating takes lots of concentration :)
The boys spent a lot of time right down on the ice.
We loved being with our Dad!
Bailey and Karina had great seats to the show.

After skating, we ate at our new favorite pizza joint.

Bailey chewed on straws...

...while we ate the best pizza ever!
(Am I the only one who feels guilty everytime I eat something really yummy while I sit and feed my baby mashed up squash and applesauce? I did share some crust with her though!)
See, there is lots of fun to be had in Utah, even in the winter!

View from my Perch

This was my view from the kitchen window last night while fixing dinner. I really love living here! Don't worry fam, I miss you too. Just enjoying what I have right now! (I call my kitchen window my perch because I can see over practically the whole neighborhood while I cook, do dishes, etc. :) Nice, huh!)

Happy Valentines Day!!!

I want to tell Jana Happy Valentines Day and how much she means to me! She is a wonderful wife and mother. She makes our family life so happy and fun and I love her beyond words....
On Sunday she cooked a meal that Emeril would be speechless upon tasting (sorry Emeril, no BAM! for you). First, Ceasar salad and toasted bruschetta, then on to baked potatoes (salt crusted and all), steamed asparagus, Martinellis and finally fillet mignon cooked to perfection topped with goat cheese and a balsamic reduction!!! WOW!!! I think she out did herself, but I am so grateful that she is my wife. Jana, I love you and will FOREVER.

Big hug, Big kiss, little kiss, little kiss, Big hug, little kiss
XOxxOx

Teeth In, Teeth Out

Last week Benson lost a tooth, which he was very proud and excited about! He even pulled it out all by himself! The funny thing is, that same day Bailey cut her second tooth. So goes the circle of life with teeth in this house!

I love this of Benson checking out his new toothless smile!

He wanted to be sure that I shared this gross bloody picture...must be a boy thing!

Bailey and her pearly new whites!
