Rattlesnake Hunter

Byron was out in Casa Grande the other day for work and just happened upon a rattle snake. Ok, well maybe he was looking for one, but he actually trapped and killed one! Crazy! So he brought it home and read up on how to skin a snake and we all got to watch the whole thing. It was 3 feet long and even had 2 semi-digested mice inside. Gross, but it was pretty exciting. We called all the neighbors over to take a look and after a few days of drying and tanning, the snake skin looks awesome. Maybe we can make it into some boots for the boys....or maybe a purse?

Rascal Flatts

Last night I went to the Rascal Flatts concert with my sisters and we had so much fun. When we hang out there are almost always kids involved so this was exciting to have some "sisters only" time. Byron put the whole thing together too. It was so cute because he called me and said, "Aubree really wants to go but Kristin won't go unless you do." Then he called Kristin and Aubree with similar lines and somehow he got all 3 of us to do something that none of us would have ever even thought of doing on our own....and all just hours before showtime! What a guy!! Thanks Byron and thank you girls for such a fun night!! (Can we do this again next week?!)

Labor Day

We went camping over Labor Day and had a lot of fun. We went up Thursday night and the rest of the gang came up Friday. It was dark when we got there Thursday night, so we just set up our tent in what turned out to be a pretty nice spot. When we woke up we decided that it was not big enough for everyone else that was coming up, so we found a better spot just down the road. Rather than empty and take down our tent, we just left the tent up and slid it onto the car and drove to the new spot. The tent didn't make it over the antennae on the back of the car, so the windshield was completely covered. I hung out the passenger window giving Byron directions as we drove a few hundred yards down the dirt road to the new camping spot. Quite a sight!! But the new spot was so much better and turned out to be perfect for the rest of the family that joined us on Friday.

Anybody seen a good campsite?
A tough game of wiffle ball....Benson used the quad helmets while he was catcher!
Vroom Vroom!!
Girls like to get dirty too!
Olivia, Clark and Lucy

Grandpa still tells the best stories, just look at their faces!

Thanks Mom and Dad for all the work you did to put together such a fun campout! We really enjoyed great dutch oven dinners, fun games of badmitten and wiffle ball, taking the raft out on the lake and watching Tyson and Tanner log roll on an old dead tree in the lake (too bad we didn't get some shots of that!)

B is for Balloons!

I started teaching preschool for Clark and some of his friends in the neighborhood. It has been so much fun. The other day we learned about the letter b. We made these cute little balloon people and then we just started playing with balloons. I saw the fan sitting out and set it up so that it was shooting straight up. The kids put their balloons on top of the fan and they shot up to the ceiling. It was so fun but the hilarious thing was watching the kids each time their balloon caught air. They were all laughing for 20 minutes straight!! So if you are ever searching for a good time, all you need is a fan, some balloons and a handful of 3 year olds!!
