The other day Clark and Byron walked into the boys room and Clark says, "Look dad, the lizard is flying!" Byron looked over and found the lizard hanging by two legs from the top of its cage. We still have no idea how he ended up there, but he stayed long enough for the whole fam to catch a peek and even get a photo. After a few minutes his legs must have gotten tired, because he just dropped off. So, apparently we have an acrobatic lizard! Maybe we should show him off on Jay Leno or something!

Go Toros!
Go Toros!! We just got back from the Mt. View game and it was so exciting! We beat the #2 ranked team (Gilbert) by 15 points!! Way to go boys! They have some great momentum going, so it will be fun to see what happens Saturday night vs. St. Marys, which is the team they played (and won!) against last year in the state game. It's crazy because we looked on the AIA website tonight, and the top 3 ranked teams are out tonight and it's only the first round.
Caught!
Paige has a sweet tooth like her daddy. Here she is being sneaky with a donut!
The other day I caught her kissing the mirror! What can I say, she is in love with herself!
Grandma
Sickies
So, have you had the bug yet? Benson didn't go to school one day last week. Ugh! His fever lasted for a straight 7 days and he is still a little sluggish. I thought the rest of us might have gotten lucky, but on Saturday Byron, Clark and Paige came down with it too. As for me, I am still crossing my fingers! So, what do you do pinned up in the house with 3 crazy kids? You better believe I have been getting creative over here! Anyways, the best was watching the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth series on Sunday and hearing the boys oooh and aaah over everything. "Mom, come see this!" "Woah, that is so cool!" Then the frogs started giving eachother piggy back rides! Fun and educational!!

Broken?
The other night I put the kids to bed and I was rocking Paige in the family room when Clark snuck out of his room. When he came out he started spinning around in circles. It was pretty dark, so he tripped and fell, hitting his nose on the corner of the fireplace. Ouch! He cried for a minute, but not too bad and he didn't even have a nose bleed afterwards. I put him to bed and everything was fine. The next morning I noticed a little bruising around the bridge of his nose. As the day went on it got a little worse, and even worse the following day. I don't notice it being crooked, although Byron will never forgive himself if his son ends up with a messed up nose! In one of those "brother moments", Benson even pinched his swollen nose and Clark only cried for a few seconds. I know I have a tendancy to under react, but for these reasons I don't really think he broke his nose. Even if he did, webmd says that unless it is a really bad break, they usually only treat the symptoms with pain medication, which we never even needed with Clark. I guess we may never know if it was really broken, but atleast now I have documented evidence of why I didn't seek medical treatment if he does end up with a crooked nose! Knowing Clark though, even a crooked nose would just add to his already fun and quirky personality! We love you Clark!!
Valentine's Day
For Valentine's this year we kept it pretty simple, but I thought it would be fun to make a nice dinner for Byron and include the kids as well. So on Tuesday I was in the kitchen most of the afternoon and when Byron came home we enjoyed a candlelit dinner for 5! It was fun! I made up menus and added flowery wording to make steak, bread and salad sound like a fancy gourmet feast. We set the table, picked flowers from the yard, lit some candles and even made a crown for Byron to wear as "king for the night". I told the kids that it would be fun to dress up to make it an extra special occasion, and Benson thought it was a great idea. All day he was watching the clock to see if it was time to get dressed up. Then when I brought out his church clothes he changed his mind real fast. What did he think, we were going to eat a candle lit dinner dressed up in our Power Rangers costumes? So, of course, I was the only one who could stand to "dress up." Anyways, it made for a fun night, and by the end of our dinner, Byron was even too full for dessert! Unbelieveable, I know! It was a pretty good dinner, though!
On Thursday, I made these yummy cinnamon rolls as an extra Valentine's treat, which our little family polished off a whole batch of in less than 24 hours! We'll be making these again soon, guaranteed!!

Copy Cat
This was just too cute to pass up! Last night Byron was studying and instead of watching a movie with the rest of us, Paige insisted on working right next to him. She does love her daddy!

Monster Jam
Just to be fair, Grandpa and Grandma took the boys to Monster Jam last weekend and they had a blast! They can't stop talking about it and they have these little monster trucks that they have been driving around the house ever since. My mom couldn't believe by the end that they were actually cheering for the trucks that rolled over, but I guess after just being in the crowd for an hour they all became true monster truck fans. There were too many favorite pictures to post them all, but here is a sampling of a few of the best shots. Do you like the cotton balls hanging out their ears? They were sitting right where the trucks come out so it was loud, the kind of loud that you can feel through your whole body! Sounds like fun!!
