Princess Paige

I put rag rollers in Paige's hair before bed the other night for the first time. It was a little wild at first, but by the afternoon I think she looked like a doll! Clark walked out right after I took the curlers out and said, "Woah! What happened to Paige!" Once it tamed down, she looked and felt like a princess. She was the first to get dressed for church and you could tell she felt pretty just by the way she pranced around. Little girls are so much fun!!

This is what she looked like right after we took the curlers out.
Here she is in her rags before bed the night before.

Learning to Read

Benson is becoming a great reader and I love that all the kids can sit on the couch together and he can read to them.

Muddy Buddies

I know when I hear the hose turn on in the back yard that it is within a matter of minutes, even seconds, that the boys will be muddy. This time the hose turned on and a minute later I heard them yell, "Cannonball!" I knew it would be messy! But I have no problem letting boys be boys and I even washed the neighbor boys' clothes after watching them literally roll around in the mud.

Citrus Squeeze

We had a nice stash of oranges and lemons given to us, so Benson and Paige helped me juice them up while Clark was at preschool. We had a nice little assembly line going and here is our final product....beautiful and delicious!!

Spring Break

Over spring break last month we spent a day with Byron's brothers. We started out in the morning fishing at a park with Matt and his kids. The lake had just been stocked with catfish, so here is our loot. I don't think we will ever keep catfish again; they are just too hard to clean. But we were happy to have caught some fish and it was a beautiful morning.

After fishing we all came back to our house and swam. Our neighborhood has a pool and they heat it for the week of spring break, so it was fun to spend the afternoon roasting hot dogs by the pool and swimming with our cousins. Jake and Marissa even came out for a bit. The kids love the attention from their uncles, especially when they agree to catapult them across the pool multiple times. :)

Countdown

Well, I am officially 1 month from my due date and the final countdown begins! We are so excited to welcome this new baby girl into our family! Paige is especially excited to have a little sister to share her pink toys with. :) Anyways, I had an ultrasound yesterday and she already weighs almost 6 pounds (5lb13oz) and it looks like everything is right on track! We can't wait!!

Luke Days Air Show

Every other year Luke AFB hosts air show and it is something we always look forward to. Byron grew up loving planes and jets, so he is usually the one to get us all psyched up for the air show. The Thunderbirds were there this year too, and they did not disappoint!

It was a very warm and sunny day. Needless to say, shade was a premium....this picture says it all!

Fishing

Here is what kind of fun an urban fishing licence can bring.....

My Green Giant

"Benson, you can't have any more asparagus until you eat your chicken!"
Seriously, is this kid normal?

Suicidal Crickets

This is our pet lizard and we feed him crickets every week...I guess these guys like to live on the edge!

Big Brother

The other night as we were getting the kids ready for bed we found Clark helping Paige brush her teeth. What a sweet brother!
