Jake & Marissa

On February 18, we took a whirlwind trip to AZ for Jake and Marissa's sealing and reception. It was a perfect day and I'm so glad we were able to be there.Marissa was so gorgeous, as always :) the Harris cousins They had these big crystals scattered on the tables, so Clark took one and asked for a picture with Paige. Invasion

We've been reading Indian in the Cupboard before bed and lately I've been finding these little army men in random places all around the house. I'm still looking for the magic cupboard and key though. Thanks to Toy Story 3, I'm having guilt every time I want to just throw them away. "Let's face it. When the trash bags come out, we army guys are the first to go." Even still, I love the imagination of a little boy!

Ice Fishing

On President's Day Byron took the boys ice fishing. Unfortunately this is the only picture from the day, but I think it is a good sign that they had fun! They both stayed asleep in the car for almost an hour after they got home. And after carving through 2 feet of ice and sitting around in the freezing cold for a few hours, they only got two nibbles and no fish. But they did have fun chasing around a mouse in the snow and feeding it frozen donut crumbs. Not really my idea of fun, but an experience nonetheless. :)

Tanner's Birthday

Little bro Tanner turned 19 and we got to have him over for dinner. He will be leaving in June to Nagoya Japan for his mission, so we made sure to add a little Japanese flair to the evening. So glad he is my brother!

Found this at an Asian Gifts store in the mall. Now my kids are obsessed with it. We've already been back twice for chopsticks, fans, little Buddha statues, dragons, etc.

My attempt at some Japanese fare

Always fun playing Just Dance II on the Wii - also made in Japan :)
