This is as good as it gets when you try to do family pictures after church with a 10 year old neighbor as your photographer, but I'm glad we captured the moment!

I got to spend a few days with my best friend in Seattle a few weeks ago. It was fabulous! I loved just being with Byron and remembering how much fun we have together. It has been a long while since we have left the kids too, so it was a great break and I feel so much more patient and loving as a mom since we've been back. Something about stepping back and looking into my life instead of being caught right in the middle, even if only for a few days, really made me appreciate my family! And I think the kids really had fun being with grandma for a few days too. Thanks Mom!!!
