Byron decided that we needed some rattlesnake skins to show off our home state when we move, so when it started warming up we went out to find some snakes at one of our favorite places to camp and just hang out in the Superstition Mountains. The kids and I did most of the "hunting" from the car and watched Byron do all the dirty work.

I did let Clark get out of the car to collect some bullet shells and other so called treasures from the dirt, until I saw these guys walking down the middle of the road straight towards us!

The first time we went we spotted a snake right from our car window. Byron went after it with his paint ball gun, which we learned are probably not the best way to kill a rattlesnake, but we still came home with one. The kids and I watched from the car and Benson was so nervous he was shivering, but luckily everything turned out fine.
