I have been doing some sewing lately, and one morning Benson wanted me to teach him how to sew. He made a few little pocket type bags with some of my scraps and now keeps all his coins in one of the little pouches we made.
While picking out fabric for some of my projects, the boys each chose one that they liked. Clark picked a flame print, which he sleeps with every night, and Benson chose this animal print. He has been really into studying animals lately. Every time we go to the library he heads straight for the non fiction. We have checked out books on every animal imaginable! I already have a form made up for him to work on some animal reports once summer hits!
I also stole one of my summer ideas the other day and read the kids the book, Freckle Juice. Half way through the book we stopped and each wrote out our recipe for Freckle Juice. We got pretty creative, and luckily none of us want freckles bad enough to try these nasty concoctions. However, Clark did think that mixing the recipe would be much more fun than just writing it down. Luckily we stopped him after only a few ingredients were added!
