A simple tribute to an extraordinary man....
The world will miss President Gordon B. Hickley. At times it seemed as if he would be here with us forever. Now the time has come for him to move on. On to a new life with new beginnings and sweet reunions. My heart is happy for President Hinckley as he will be able to be reunited with his wife and sweetheart. I love the second picture of them both taken at a Pioneer Day parade in Utah. That picture is a complete depiction of his cheerful and warm demeanor and I love that it shows them both together. President Hinckley seemed to have a way of speaking which made him easy to love and inspired obedience even when his council was firm. He left a deep footprint on the history of the church and throughout the years he spent as prophet he has done so much to shape and define the church. I am grateful to have lived to know and follow such a wonderful prophet of God.
