Utah

Last weekend we took Benson and Bailey along with us on a trip up to Utah. We were on a mission to find a house and we figured they would be the most pleasant of our kids to spend 5 days in the car with. :) (Thanks to grandma and grandpa for keeping the other two happy while we were gone!) We stayed with my dad's sister in Draper and they made us feel right at home. In their backyard they had an awesome trampoline set up and Benson had a blast jumping from the "cliff" to one tramp and then to the other. Byron got some pretty cool air pics too!

We went to the Draper Days Rodeo and saw some wild stuff. One cowboy's hand got tangled up pretty bad in his rope on bare back, a mad bull jumped the fence and cleared the bleachers at the end of the arena, and Benson even got to participate in the Cash Calf event where they send tons of kids chasing after a calf with money taped on his back. Good times!

We also were able to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It was beautiful!!

Bailey was an angel the entire trip! Lots of time strapped in her car seat, but she was such a trooper!

I love it! All stretched out...Ahhhh!

One of the first things we did was drive by the campus where Byron will be spending most of his days. We even got to meet the dean and the campus is beautiful!
Had to do this one for my mom! She loves telling dam jokes!
This is how excited we were to start the 10 hour drive home!
It was a great trip! House hunting was less fun than we expected, but we managed to find a few other things to do to keep it exciting. The weather was gorgeous. Who knew you could enjoy picnics in the park in the middle of July?! My favorite part was spending lots one on one time with Benson, which we rarely get to do. He is such a sweet boy when he has no one to pester and tease, but he and Clark missed each other so much! And Utah, we'll be seeing you again real soon!

How fun for Bensen, I think the kids need a little alone time. I sure do miss you all and can't wait to see you soon.

I bet that was strange just having half of your kids with you! We're going to miss you so much, ahhhh, it makes me get really sad everytime I think about it! But picnics in July - we're just going to have to come and visit lots!
