Happy Thanksgiving!!

Winter is here in full force! Tuesday night we were on official blizzard watch and when it started snowing we were out in the midst of it. It wasn't as windy here as expected and it only snowed at our house about 8 inches but it has been very cold this week, as in high temps below freezing...brrr!

Also, I have a little experience I wanted to share from our trip to Walmart just a few hours before he blizzard warning was set to take effect. All the reports were telling people to stay home and wait out the storm, so you can imagine how hectic the stores were as people prepared to hunker down and plan for possible power outages. Add to that the people getting ready for their Thanksgiving meals and you have a vary busy day at Walmart!

People were in a hurry and a little on edge. I saw one lady in particular snap at her husband for kindly asking her to move over because she was standing in someones way. "She can say excuse me if she needs me to move," the woman snapped back.

Then in contrast I noticed another woman just an aisle over. She had a baby in the cart and another holding the side. Then behind her an older son pushed his brother in one of those special type of wheel chairs for children with severe physical limitations. It definitely wasn't easy for her to get to the store with all her children. Yet there she was amidst all the hustle and bustle with a smile singing along with the Christmas music playing throughout the store.

I learned a great lesson from this woman about having a cheerful attitude and it made me really reflect on all I have to be grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
